Sap Analytics Cloud Tutorial Variance to Charts | How to Track Success with Variance Analysis


In My Previous Video Most of you have seen already the Smart Insight feature in #SAP Analytics Cloud, but let me provide you a very short introduction before we are looking at the new option to use Smart Insight in combination with variances. A variance is typically defined as the difference between planned values (budget) and actual values. Variances can also be calculated based on the difference in value between time periods, like comparing revenue from one year to the next. Variance analysis is the investigation into the cause of the difference between these values. This type of analysis can help a business spot trends, issues, opportunities, and threats to short-term or long-term success.
